Eradicate child labor, universalize education, and break the cycle of poverty.


The Health Education Adoption Rehabilitation Development Society (HEARDS) was founded in Aug ’99 by a group of social workers dedicated towards eradication of poverty in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The main vision and mission of this project is to eradicate child labor and to facilitate the holistic growth of every individual in this district via education, equality and liberation from poverty. HEARDS has been running child labor rehabilitation centers since 2002 and we were able to successfully mainstream 374 children into the regular Government schools.TODAY, HEARDS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY REMOVED THE CHILD LABOR ISSUE IN ONE OF THE SLUMS IN CHITTOOR!With some help and guidance, this can be taken to the next level

Our Next Generation


Enhancing the lives of next generation of children through one-on-one tutoring

In the early 1990s, a visionary group of volunteers formed The Homework Club and committed their personal time to help children from the central city area through one-on-one tutoring. Soon after, Our Next Generation, Inc. was formed as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. The main aim of the organization is to offer tutoring and guidance for children from caring and concerned volunteers. For more than two decades ONG has been providing quality academic support and life skills programs to hundreds of urban children and youth, pre-K through 12th grades.
